Welcome to Taphouse. By downloading, installing, or using Taphouse ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Taphouse, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Taphouse is a graphical user interface for Homebrew, the package manager for macOS. The App allows you to browse, install, update, and manage Homebrew packages through a visual interface.
3. License
Free Version: Taphouse Free is provided at no cost and grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or commercial purposes.
Pro Version: Taphouse Pro requires a one-time purchase. Upon purchase, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use all Pro features on your personal devices.
4. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
- Distribute, sell, or sublicense the App or your license
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Share or transfer your Pro license to others
5. Homebrew Dependency
Taphouse requires Homebrew to be installed on your Mac. Homebrew is an independent open-source project not affiliated with Multimodal Solutions. We are not responsible for Homebrew's functionality, availability, or any issues arising from its use.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
7. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL MULTIMODAL SOLUTIONS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.
8. Package Management Risks
Installing, updating, or removing software packages may affect your system. You acknowledge that:
- You are responsible for understanding what packages you install
- Package operations may have system-wide effects
- We are not responsible for any damage caused by packages installed through Homebrew
9. Refund Policy
Taphouse Pro includes a 14-day free trial. Since you can fully evaluate the Pro features before purchasing, we generally do not offer refunds. However, if you experience technical issues preventing you from using the App, please contact us.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
